As per the Chesterfield School Handbook, food will no longer be permitted at birthday celebrations. Birthdays will be celebrated individually on your child’s special day in the classroom: students will receive a crown and a b’day cup w/ a treat.
We DO NOT encourage, nor recommend sending in any kind of goody bags, stickers, pencils…
While parents will not be participating in classroom birthday celebrations, please note that we will offer many opportunities for parent involvement this year, including field trips, PTA-scheduled events, and Field Day.
Keep in mind that if you are planning a party at home, please only send invitations to school if you are inviting everyone or just the same gender in our class. If you choose to invite only a few classmates, please distribute the invites by mail.
Summer birthdays will be celebrated near the end of the year.
